If they are the original Bridgestone HTs then they were very poor in the wet when they were new. You should make sure that the tyres aren't over-inflated as well 23psi is all they should be.

My Apologies, for some reason my forwarder bounced your email. The ECUs for the RF engine Mazdas have an unusual memory chip for which there is no data so I'm unable to re-programme those, hopefully swapping out the ECU set will have solved your issues.

Importing from Japan has been done for years, go through an established importer and you should be OK. Japanese vehicles tend to be a bit light on rust-proofing so that will need to be done. I did try looking up chassis numbers to get a year...but so far the only list I have found state the 10th digit..and that on both numbers is 0...whyihc is not listed. 4:88 diff would be from a 4u, 4u2 1998-2001 or possibly a V6 model.

Jimnys and Vitaras are 15" with the possible exception of the V6 Vitaras.

The Janspeed manifold and exhaust with an SU carb conversion makes a huge difference to the 410 engine.

There is a guy on Facebook who sells a fibreglass version of that grill that will fit the earlier Samurais.
