Re: Bracket fitting to Engine block

It should be M10x1.25 Unless someone has messed the threads up.

The threads might just need chasing with a Tap.

Re: Bolt Supplier

They probably just don’t want any liability risk of someone buying a bolt that is the wrong grade for the application, for all they know you could be buying a bolt for a suspension component. I have a massive selection of good used bolts. There’s not really any “one time use” bolts on Suzuki SJs unl...

Re: jimny horn relay location

I’ve never known an SJ to have a horn relay, no sj wiring diagrams show one either. That wasn’t standard so a previous owner must have added it for some strange reason.

As far as I’m aware Jimnys don’t have a horn relay either.

Re: Coil replacement.

Yes that’s correct.

Only F series engines with a points and condenser distributor have a ballast resistor.

Re: Suzuki Swift Sport ZC32S odd clutch issue

Sounds like maybe your clutch release bearing or something else in the clutch pressure plate has potentially failed.

I would probably advise not driving it until the garage can pull the gearbox off to investigate.

Re: Transfer box handbrake info.

Standard transfer box system is fine, just needs adjusting occasionally. X-eng has better holding power “when” it works, I found it needs more setting up and adjusting than a stock brake. It needs many mods to make it work reliably and not eat pads. It also rattles and has long handbrake lever trave...

Nice, would like to see one in person, I can’t really work out if I like the proportions of it in pics.

Re: SU Carbs

Tomcat, the SU carb swap on an F10 engine is very different to a G13/G16 engine. hi all, I realise I am rather late to this but wonder if anyone has a larger image or drawing of the brackets needed to install the Hif 38 to the SJ410(or rather tha cables as part of the installation)? Would happily bu...

Re: Fuel Tank

Yes some tanks have a drain.

It’s really not needed though, realistically how often do you need to drain a tank? And if you do need to drain one it’s not hard to just syphon/pump the tank out.
