Re: LJC 160

With 3 other LJ80 builds at the top I thought I'd do an overdue update on mine to make it 4. We just need something on Robbie's.

I'm absolutely clueless on body work but I can hit stuff with a hammer. A few whacks and..... fixored !!!

Re: LJ80 Recommissioning.

Love the RHINO bumper. Things are looking up for this car. I hope you restomod it. Maybe bore the block to keep the engine number then fit a 410 bottom end and head. Does give them some pep. I got my ported 410 head and cam for my LJ80 from Rhino Ray. He gets some good stuff. PS Welcome to the hardc...

Re: Longer front struts

You don't have to go for the adjustable so that'll be cheaper but the rebuildable could save you money in the long run.
Rear: you could use any old shocks
Front: your limited by the strut design. Maybe someone here can help you with part numbers of slightly longer units.

Re: Mk1 vit engine swap

Scottie,
Thanks for that.
Do you have the specs on the adapter bushing ? All dimensions ?
I'll look for the J18 flywheel part number & post it if I find it.

Which Bellhousing for the 2.0 conversion ? 2.0 or 1.6 ? Will the 1.6 bellhouse fit onto the 2.0 block ? Same bolt patterns ?
