After reading this a couple of times I was sure the resistor is inside the heater and I’m now sure it is, but you need to be careful with it as it’s a coil that is just inside where the wires enter box. Easy job to do really, you can pull the drum of with the wheel still on.

I could be wrong but I think they bolt on somewhere, obvious I know the tab locks them in the right position and a plastic clip goes in the square hole. They hold something like the air lines for the auto front hubs or something like that. Could be wrong but I’ve seen clips like them in other cars
