Re: SJ bogs when clutch is released

When did you last check your gearbox oil? Also what carb are you running? Has this started since it's been cold? It could be that it's just poorly tuned for cold weather/choke but it seems unlikely that the normal resistance of just the input shaft turning would cause enough drag to try and stall th...

Re: help off the experts

My bad. There are both.

So options are 4.3s (perfect for 33s), 4.6s, 4.9s, and 5.1s

Re: Steering box

Photos of the pitman arm and steering damper may be handy. I guess you had a standard box before and know it isn't a different steering damper has been fitted and doesn't have enough travel?

Re: Heating

There should be one that went to the hot/cold valve on the bulkhead to the left of the distributor. You could just move that by hand there and see which cable moves in the cab or just leave it in the open position so the heater matrix always stays hot. Re: Cheapest yet best mods to do to my zuk?

The breathers are a cheap easy mod with just a bit of garden hose as suggested.

Convert the door hinges to lift off ready for the summer with a few cuts.

Re: Nifty Jack Diff Plus Axle Load Spreader/Support Tool

Likewise. Big low entry jack with big lifting pad and over 500mm of lift. One of the best things I've ever bought for the truck and lowered cars we've had.

Straight under the diff. Axle stand under each side. Done.
