Blimey. Can't believe how long I've had this ungreatful bastard thing. Either way. It now has an engine. Suspension. Most of a body. Wiring. Ermm that's about it. Out with the old, again. 20190911_193153.jpg In with the £10, 14k jap import lump Scottie the legend collected for me. Screenshot_2020032...

Re: Andys dabble in disco land.
Welding. Discos are notorious for rot. The c pillars and rear archs are a common place. The rust goes between the quarter panel and inner structure. So I decided to chop the lot out higher up. Repair the sections individually then weld them back in. Used an of the shed inner wheel tube repair sectio...

The blue discovery basically got picked for parts and will be probably sold or scrapped later this year. The green discovery has trundled around fairly reliably. It was only when sorting out some of the...

Re: should i rebuild engine or sell?
What's the mileage on the engine?
A complete rebuild sounds a bit drastic.
Did the car use oil alot before.
What's the hstory of the engine? Previous repairs etc etc

Re: Andys dabble in disco land.
Well the green discos been doing stirling service with only one recent FTP but I limped it to the barn luckily I was only a mile away.
