Re: Coiled turqoise samurai
Sometimes I just wish I had something standard that you could just buy off the shelf parts.................... Oh wait :screwy: I do plan on buying some new rear springs anyway so might just get some spring seat rubbers and see if that picks it up abit. I'm feeling a 16v now though I won't lie, espe...

Re: Coiled turqoise samurai
Finally back home. Though I'm not overly happy with how the rear is sat. It's actually sat level but it looks like the rear is down. I prefer the rear up abit. It's abit difficult with it being custom and ligh, there's no off the shelf parts that will work, all trial and error

It's definitely worth it, had a drive yesterday and it drives so well now.
Even had a play about fitting the new tyres. The new tyres are actually an inch taller but it's hard to tell on that front pic because of the 12.5s on the drivers side

Re: 1987 sj410 xud engine, coil sprung and Toyota axles
What a busy :suzuki: day it's been for me. Finally got my gearbox and transfer box back. Dropped them off over a month ago to be rebuilt, after MOT the gearbox developed quite a bad leak and I had a rebuild kit for the transfer box so thought while I'm there might aswell have some fresh drivetrain. ...

Re: Coiled turqoise samurai
Ye iv got a spare axle that's already had the bottom trussed, so just cut off all my mounts, redress them and build back up.
I did get it all done today but no finished pics. Ill get some Thursday.

Re: Coiled turqoise samurai
So after 2 years iv found a down side to lots of flex and 33" tyres, the axle ends up bent like a banana. So today I finally got round to making a start, original axle off and stripped, replacement axle stripped. Going to try keep as many mounts as I can do its just a case of welding to new axl...

Re: LJ270
Looking forward to seeing some progress on this Scottie. Might just be the inspiration others need to build something crazy not me though, I don't need anything like this. Damn it :hmm: If these tyres I bought live up to the reviews then they might be an alternative to the 37" treps. At £154 a ...
