Wiper motor not working

Post by timwilks13 » Fri Jun 26, 2020 8:00 pm

My wipers have just stopped working entirely, I have checked the fuse which is fine, the jet motor works but the wiper motor does nothing.

Its the tin top so not easily accessible to check the motor, so what would be the first points of call before I start tearing the dash apart?

Ok cheers Robbie I'll have a look tomorrow. What's the fix for that then? Pull them off and WD or grease or something?

Try spraying them with wd and letting it soak. Removing them was hard work on a soft top, going to be worse on a tin top

Getting to that wiper motor would be my worst nightmare, hope the WD-40 works first!

Good luck 👍

Jobs a good un, just seized as you said Robbie, soaked in WD for a few hours, then ran the motor and helped it by hand, once they loosened a bit I attacked them with some PTFE spray and they're spot on thank!
