SWIFT 2005 AIRBAG LIGHT ALWAYS ON

Post by MaxHandley » Mon Oct 04, 2021 7:20 pm

Hello! I’ve recently purchased my first car (Suzuki swift 2005 mk3) I have an issue with the airbag light just wondering if it’s possible it’s been turned off by an elderly driver for baby seat possibly? How can I go about checking this and how can I turn it off. Many thanks, Max

If it’s been turned off, on a lot cars there is often a key hole on the side of the dash that is only useable with the door open
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Cheers for the speedy response, unfortunately I have checked and there is no key hole on side of dash.
I believe it has been been turned off, have had no luck looking online where the lockout may be located though. Is it possible that wires may have been disturbed under the seats? Cheers

Sometimes if you are lucky and have a compatible code reader - you can delete the airbag code and the light might remain 'off' - obviously it depends on why the light is on but might be worth a try ?
