Hello welcome, can’t say I’ve seen them on our Jimny. What are they made of?

Hi Keith
Looks a little like some sort of locking or mounting tab/bracket.
Are any part numbers/ID numbers visible ?
If not what size is the part ?

Hi there, thank you very much for the replies. There are two of these tabs, they are made from steel and are approximately 47mm long, 22mm wide at the widest part, 14mm wide on the tab. The hole is drill to take a 10mm stud or bolt, as suggested there appears to be a locking tab at the hole. Unfortunately there is no part number on either part. Any further thoughts and advice would be much appreciated please?
Thank you

I could be wrong but I think they bolt on somewhere, obvious I know the tab locks them in the right position and a plastic clip goes in the square hole. They hold something like the air lines for the auto front hubs or something like that. Could be wrong but I’ve seen clips like them in other cars

Thanks for additional info Keith.
If I get time tomorrow I will have a look round our old vitara and see if there are any similar parts.

Hi Keith
I had a quick look round our Vitara this morning but could not see anything similar.
If it was me I would probably try and carefully clean one of them up with a small soft copper wire brush and check for a part/ID number, most metal parts have some sort of number on them usually lightly stamped/etched on the metal.

Hi there i had already cleaned them up and not seen anything, i polished them up earlier, still no part number is evident.
Thank you for your help, i guess i’ll just leave them off for now and see if any issues occur!

Hopefully you will stumble across where they fit during the rebuild and do not have too many bits left over at the end :D
