What is the correct battery to have in a SJ413 1300? The one in there is a 40/295 and has died after 6 months!!

Get the biggest one you can get in the tray. Be careful not to let it discharge too often, as this can kill them.

If it lasted 6 months, take it back and they should refund it. They normally cut the date when it was sold in the top...

The standard sized battery is fine for an SJ with no winch etc but as mentioned above will die early if left to discharge through lack of use. I've wasted a battery like this over the last year and have invested in a solar charger from Maplin for £12.99 to keep it topped up whilst not in use. This will save my new battery and I plan to use it more regularly.

If you have used the car regularly and the old battery is only 6 months old, ask for a new one in exchange from where you bought it, they all have a guarentee these days.
