Intermotor Part numbers, can source through most motor factors

I run the 50091 in my bottom hose however I am going to fit one with a slightly lower temperature rating as I find the first fan comes on a little bit too late

Does any one know how to test a switch?

I've fitted one, decided to try so filled the hose up with water from the kettle expecting it to switch, but no luck. Is it I'm just not getting it hot enough for long enough or is it faulty?

Cheers

usually best to have the stat switch in a pan of heated water...
use a multimeter and test the resistance and continuity as it heats up

Edit: I usually just test on the truck though...

Yep, test as follows

Took the switch out, tested resistance = 1 (closed)

Placed in pan of water on the hob, started heating pan.

While heating before the water started bubbling, tested resistance = 0 (open)

Took out of water to cool down, tested resistance = 1 (closed)

Double checked So I'm confident it works

Cheers :salute:
