seal/gasket in the back of rear brake plate

Post by dafyddcoch » Wed Jul 06, 2022 5:06 pm

Hi folks. I m replacing rear wheel bearings on my 2002 Jimny. As part of that job I have obviously purchased new half-shaft oil seals. However, on the rear of my brake plate, I have a seal.gasket that sits on the outside of the axle and fits into the concave pressing of the brake plate. It is made of thin pressed steel with an internal rubber edge. I can't find a parts diagram with the part on, nor can my local Suzuki dealer but it definitely is a Suzuki manufactured part. Any ideas what is called, where can I find a part number? Alternatively, do folks just fill the recess with sealant?

Thanks Jimny sages
