Post by badoffroader » Mon Nov 09, 2015 10:53 pm

Does anyone out there know how many wires go to the in tank fuel pump in an 1995 injection SJ and what loom/part of the wiring they're routed from.Ta.

Thanks, the reason i'm asking is that i've taken the tank out, cleaned it up and repainted etc,put it back in and now the in tank pump is'nt working.Rather than take the tank off again i wanted to check how many wires go to the actual pump - i can only see one :) .

Ahhh yes just for the pump I believe there should just be a positive power supply and the pump earths through the tank

and if the paint is thick that would explain why the pump isnt working as its not grounding.

Thanks for that - i did wonder if there was supposed to be an earth via the tank body but i thought that sounded a bit dodgy so was looking for an earth wire going directly to the in tank pump.I'll give that a go tonight, cheers.
