Jimny sunroof section

How do you get the sunroof soft top bar out of the actual fabric itself? I was just going to do some quick rust work on the frame as it’s pretty fucked, however a 5 minute job quickly turned into hours of getting nothing done.
Can’t find any help videos online so any help would be great, cheers.

Just undo the poppers and slide off

That's what the manual says too ffs XD his seems to be stitched at the side and the top, meaning you can't slide up? Seems way too tight to pry it over the bar too?

It's stitched in the two places shown, meaning it can't move up or down more than half an inch or so :/
