I'm really fed up with this fuel cap issue. Rang Pebly Beach...no answer. Emailed them...no answer. Drove to Suzuki here and after a 20 minute wait whilst some berk just stared at the same picture on his PC he announces they have none. Googled an SJ fuel cap...either in the US or the same Chinese wank cap I have. Going to get some rubber and make a new thicker gasket in the hope it will seal tighter.

On a happier note I got my key ring from Anton...note the name on the envelope... :hahaha:

Thought that'd give you (and your postie) a chuckle!

He did ask me, I said that's my evil twin's name...

Ordered an A4 sheet of 2mm thick rubber for a whopping 99p so hopefully this will sort the problem. Still baffled how the petrol gets so high up!

For ages now I've been trying to find something that would fit where my rear lights are to cover up the appalling weld marks and crap. Today I did, Tesco's own brand sugar. And at a quid a pot I will be buying 3 more!

Think I've got a new sj fuel cap and key in a pile of NOS bits I've got stashed somewhere. If not I'll have a look at work on Wednesday.

Cheers Andy, would like a real one. But today my bit of rubber arrived...a lid off a can of paint was a perfect template, cut it out plonked it on. Now it seals snugly on the car...no leaks, no petrol fumes. REE-sult!

Looks to me like that's how it should have been all along - did someone sell you an incomplete cap?
