Not much to report as the old gal runs like clockwork. I have put in the fasteners at the bottom of the soft top and some home made door seals so it's almost draught free in there...almost. Heater is the usual cack. I either have a boiling hot left foot or a clear windscreen but not both!

I’m sure Dan had an amp thing that just had a on/off and socket on the dash and the amp hidden somewhere
Dan has the 4 channel version of this, brilliant little amps.

If I get a stereo it will have to go in the glove box or in the armrest. Nowhere else to put it really!

Can't believe I haven't posted anything for so long. My mum has now got dementia and looking after her now just saps the energy out of me. But I have had a few moments with Piglet, namely overheating (twice in a week). First time a jubilee clip came loose...easy enough and happened as I was driving into the garage so no drama. Then the same sodding jubilee clip and 2 miles from anywhere! Natch, new clips on every hose now and ally ones too.

The interior has had a spruce up too...

Apart from that she's fine. Still need a better heater though!

Had a lot of issues of late. Brakes, front hubs etc and now an annoying tinkling from the rear end (no comments please). Thought it might be the rear diff so I drained the oil (manky) expecting to see bits of metal on the magnetic sump bolt but nothing at all. Refilled it using a turkey baster, like you do. So it must be the rear prop. Kinda relieved as that is WAY easier to sort lol.

Thursday night Piglet was undriveable. Took the bus home (£4 to go 6 miles and took 90 minutes). Friday morning after another bus nightmare prop is off. UJ near the diff was beyond shagged. Other one fine. Tried the 'put it into 4wd and use the front wheels only' technique but she didn't like that at all. Fearing the worse I took the front prop off and that was fine so a bit puzzled as to why she wouldn't drive via the front. Tried taking the knackered UJ out myself but no joy. So a weekend of sodding buses and then a taxi this morning to get the prop sorted. £102. Fuck me last time I had one done it was £40 and at the same place! Another taxi and both props are back on. Drives superbly now, very smooth. Hope this lasts a good few years!

Sucks when stuff like that happens. BUt it's £102 well spent, as she'll be running on that UJ for years to come.

In case I didn't mention it before - loving the orange, mate!

Cheers Anton. Went to Tesco tonight and some bastard has driven into the back and done a runner. Just a dent but more work needed. One thing I do know is his/her car will be a lot worse off...
