Yeah when I had the flat 33 on there round Wales it sat on the bumper nicely but this is just too big when inflated. I had to let some air out so it would pull back enough to the carrier so the lock would work. I'm just going to raise and inboard the carrier a bit and remove the rubber stops so it sits flush against the door and all the weight is sat on the bumper and all the door is doing is holding it upright.

Couldn't you make up a frame like on the old l*** r*****?

They look pretty tidy, and just bolt on the swing to the chassis, then the wheel swings away from the body, and the door opens?

1985 SJ413VX (SJ50V) with SPOA, rear disc brakes, 31x10.5R15 Kaiman Malatesta tyres, an MOT and a lot left to do!

Nothing huge or exciting to report.

Just got an MOT on it. Had to have a couple of bushes in the springs/hangers and I've re-jigged the power steering pipework as it was weeping and replaced the seal in the pump. Apart from that it's business as usual.
