Good progress Scottie. As always, tidy work.

Looking forward to seeing it on the road at somepoint in the few months / years.

Coming along nicely, but about time you started another project isn't it!

Encouragement or not it is inevitable

Quick question - what's the plan for the J20a?

I believe you have 2 of them now? Going in this? If so...

What's the plan for the ECU etc? The reason I ask, is that being disabled, I may be able to register my Zuk as a disabled vehicle and get ULEZ exemption for a year or two. After that, I'll be fined for driving it. So I'm wondering if I could fit a Euro4 engine and appeal to the Mayor to let classic cars with Euro4 engines off the hook...

So a couple of years from now, I maybe have to swap in a late G16b, J20, M series or something (has to be Euro4 or better, though). I don't want to go through what Ladaman did though!

Sorry bud, not checked into this thread for a while. This is just staying with a 1.6 16v now. The J20 will be going in Blue, I've also got another j20 thats going in Father's Maruti with an auto when he finally gets is Jimny. The J20 wiring is easy, the engine and ECU already has a standalone loom, there's just a few other bits you need to mess around with such as the immobiliser, VSS and a few other bits, all pretty simple though.

As for progress.

Unfortunately it's back on hold for a while, need to focus on my boat and I'm also trying to find time to put a swb samurai together to sell.

Just realised there has been a little bit of progress since my last post in this thread.

Stripped the chassis down, blasted it, etch primed, 2 coats of Upol gravitex and then body colour.

Some goodies turned up from the US to save some time with the build. Mounts and a intermediate shaft adapter to run a J20 with a 4 speed auto.

Nice work matey. Goodies from the US? Hope they fit, seems like 90% of the stuff they make for our cars are really awful. Hope it's not crappies from the US lol.
