It was me, I tried to upload using the dedicated youtube button, using the 'full' share link but it didn't work, so deleted my post.

Here's the trick :D just use the short ID code only, from the 'share' URL link on the youtube page

Right I’m a back where do I start the Suzuki sj has mot finally I know but I gave up on her a while back when I couldn’t get it into gear so I’ve finally fixed the problem which was a fly wheel bolt snapped a jammed in between the clutch plate and flywheel meaning yes new clutch even tho the old one only done only 20 miles :hahaha: so I’ve done a few changes since my last post removed the rear light that was in the bumper to leds as the old ones was made from land :tosser: (rover) also had to ditch the old fuel tank as the fuel filter kept blocking up with rust ect and had a small leak so ive gone for a aluminium tank only holds 20liters but that’s plenty for what I use it for anyway also will be finishing off the rollcage then I need to make the back 2-3 inches higher as currently is sitting a bit low at the back was thinking spoa conversion on the back ? :er:

Nice to see you back on here, SJ is looking good.

What about just loosing the shackle reverse up front to drop that down 2" to match the rear? doesn't look like you need that much lift for your tyre size.

I’m may go down the route of some 31/10.5/15 insas or a set of fedima so want to keep the front how it is and just make the truck sit level at the moment the tyres rub the rear arches a little and there 235/75/15 so ideally want to lift the rear slightly

You might find that 31s catch with the shackle reverse as it pushes the wheel backwards towards the bulkhead during articulation. It's better to run shackles up front with larger tyres for a number of reasons. Personally I'd also try to avoid going spoa, there are a lot of problems associated with it on swb SJs, increased axle wrap, steep driveline angles etc, It really reduces the reliability of the SJ driveline in my experience.

I know it's just my opinion but in my experience SJs with less lift are a lot more reliable. I used to run 31s on an SJ with just 2" lift springs, lowered bump stops and some very minor bodywork tweaks. I have been running 33s for years on the current set up with 1" of lift and I have very few drive line issues, It's been a couple of years since I changed a UJ and I do 10000+ miles a year in my Sj, I know people that do maybe 10% of that mileage in SPOA sjs and seem to be always changing UJs.

I presume you have bump stops fitted? I used to run 235/75r15 treps on a completely stock SJ410, think all it had was some very minor front bumper trimming and it didn't catch anywhere during articulation :er:

A bit has changed since I was last on I have gone ahead and got my self some brand new wheels abs tyres 235/75/15 also finished my roll cage :weld:
Yes Scottie I have bump stops fitted the wheels still Catch in places off road so I will have to get the hammer out at some point

Also looking at a set of 3” rear leaf springs and a decent set of shocks if anyone knows the best place to get them ? I’m running calimini springs atm and pro comp shocks which are leaking thanks
