SUZUKI Grand Vitara 1.9DDiS 130 SZ5 - 62 Plate.

Post by SGV » Sat May 27, 2017 11:51 am

Hi, I'm considering buying a SUZUKI Grand Vitara 1.9DDiS 130 SZ5 - 62 plate registered in 2013. 51k on the clock and would appreciate any advise as to what I should be looking out for when viewing? Any info on cambelt change Etc. Trader is asking £10,500, have seen some going cheaper! Thanks in advance and hope I've posted on the correct forum :er:

The only known issue I'm aware of with these is the diesel particulate filter. Generally OK unless your mainly a city/town driver, these filters like a good run to burn off the soot or you end up with a bunch of fault codes.
I have the workshop manual jb419 2007-2009 and I assume the 2013 is still using the same engine, therefore the service interval for the cambelt is below. Seems quite low miles to me. Other than that just make sure everything works and check for any oil leaks including the diffs.

Thanks for that. I believe it's more or less the same Renault engine.
