New SJ410 owner driving around the world in it!

good morning chaps! Im Billy Morris from the midlands! i have a 1986 Sj410 with original engine and gearbox, and i am going on a world tour in it starting in july this year! any tips, tricks advice anyone could give me would be great!!!

Just checked out the website, sounds like a hell of a trip! Make sure you have given it a good old service before you leave, check your bearings, oil levels (inc. gearbox, diffs etc) and get some spare parts on board! Depending on what countries you go through, lots of places still run SJ's daily and parts are fairly easy to get hold of.

Still probably a good idea to take a good handful of spares with you, a jack and a decent tool kit. Cable ties and gaffer tape a plenty can never go wrong ;)

yeah! cheers tim. im actually in the process of having the engine and gearbox rebuilt as it was totally original. all bearing and brakes will be done too! getting sponsored hopefully some BF AT tyres and a roof tent !!! cheers for the advice! Any following on my social media would be great!

Sounds like an amazing trip, im jealous!

Great to see someone going at this kind of thing is a humble little Suzuki too! So many people nowadays think they need a 20k defender prepped to the max just to get on a ferry!

Is there actually any off road in the rally?
