Hi scottiej, I'm new to the forum after browsing it as a guest for a couple weeks. I just got a 1984 sj410 soft top and I wanted to post some pics but it won't let me. Also would be looking for some parts in the next couple weeks as my sj project begins si was wondering if you would please derestrict my account.

Just bought a new Vitara 1.6 diesel. DPF warning light on after 150km. Dealer advise me to drive at over 2000 rpm for approx 10 minutes to regenerate DPF. This did the trick. Surely DPF should not need this action so soon.

Sounds right, my daughter had a ds3 which if not driven enough would do it and that was the same advise. And :welcome:

Exactly what Robbie said. If they are only driven around towns and on short journeys the dpf doesn't get hot enough to burn the crud off.
