We have a 2005 3dr GV on 215/65/16's and the ride could be described as a little harsh on rough roads, the short wheelbase also does not help and it probably pitches around quite a bit more than the 5 door version.
We usually run ours at 25 psi,I was going to drop them to 23 but because of covid I just left them at 25 so that perhaps the tyres will not turn too square by being parked most of the time.
Off road tyres might also have a slightly harsher ride on tarmac.

Yeah even on the road it’s hard. And trying to keep in a strait line near impossible all new track rod ends to so no play there but so twitchy like driving a ping pong ball down road ??

I think the steering is quite high geared ?
We bought ours from Grimsby - so we drove down there from Perthshire in our old CRV - part exed that against the Suzi and then had a day down there doing some touristy stuff whilst the suzi was being MOT'd/prepped,I told the salesman (very nice young chap) not to bother servicing it as I would be doing it anyway. They did change the oil and filter and probably pumped up the tyres.
We set off northwards with a seriously twitchy car,I stopped and adjusted the tyre pressures down from 36psi to a more reasonable 25 - but it did take a bit of getting used to especially long distance.
Why did we go all the way down to Grimsby ?
The Suzi was a 1 owner car with only 38k on the clock, she still only has 42.5k because of covid and weather LOL.
