All tech relating to the Suzuki Vitara that won't relate to any other models, Front IFS etc.

Mk1 Vit roof rack

Hi guys.
Need a roof rack for my 92 LWB, struggling to find one like in the picture so does anyone know of anything that will fit?
Also can i ask why the cross bars on all the ones i have looked at bow upwards?

That's how they made them, I bought mine new back in 2001.

Yeah i was not suggesting they were faulty just why would they make them like that, hardly practicle as a rack?

Is so when there under load the dont bow in wards
1994 sj 413 sierra
cheker plate door cards
cd players
asin free wheeling hubs
99% rust free
alloys
bukets
some leaks here and there

I will be using mine for my Kayak so would want it flat, would not be too happy strapping something on my roof to a non flat surface area.

Ahh its abit crap in that aspect then mite be worth makeing some weges to go at one side and bolt them to the rack so u have a flat surface

If and when i find one for sale i will have to add something too it like you say.

Hi, I know this is a reply to a very old Post but I've got the roof rack off my old Vitara - looking to sell it and offers as I unfortunately haven't got my lovely, old gal anymore. :cry: (apologies for upside down photos, can't see a way here to make them upright.)
