Help! Jimny Air filter box info.

Post by Cyprus Geoff » Wed Nov 05, 2014 5:26 pm

I just bought a Jimny air filter box to fit in my Samurai to try and mate it with the SU carb.

I would like to know how the pipework for the air intake works on the Jimny? The input to the airbox in the pic has a rubber threaded thingy. What screws in to that? Anybody got pics?

I would be happy to use the existing placement/route of the original sami air intake from behind the battery. But I am wondering if the Jimny pipe (assuming there was one) which presumably screws in to the airbox is better than an old bit of flexi pipe that the Sammy used to have.

Awesome! Thanks Darrel - looking at that I don't fancy taking air low at the front (item 11) as well as at the back - I will just make something.

Cheers for the info.
