Heater

Post by zook123 » Tue Nov 24, 2015 8:14 am

Guys,

The heater on the Jimny is crap! It's nice and toasty on your feet, but as soon as you point it to the windscreen it just doesn't blow much at all!

The heat is fine, and the motor sounds like it's running.

Do they have the "heater tubes" running behind the dashboard?

The control cables to move the vent flaps are very close to your feet either side of the heater box, I'd give them a quick check first to see that they have not been knocked off.

I've checked the flaps and they are functioning correctly.

I think it's mostly in the mind, as in my past cars the vent was only around 8in long, but it appears that the jimny's have a massive one that runs along the bottom of the windscreen!

When i bought the misses jimny the screen wouldnt
Clear and the blow from the vents was about as much as a mouse sneezing. I just kept moving the mode selector lever side to side and there was a good thump from behind the dash and this Seems to have worked on hers . It just sticks ocasionally if she hasnt changed the setting.
