Re: The white one
I like your throughness (is that a real word?), but every body i have worked has rotted out top and bottom if that step/hollow. I'm cutting it out and replacing it with single skin 1.5mm butt welded in.
As my bodywork skills are up to my usual high standards this will be topped with lashings of seam sealer, underseal and paint! Hides a multitude of sins.

Re: The white one
Tbh if it wasn't being sold I probably would just replace it with some 2mm but I wanted to keep this one nice and tidy and looking original. Only reason I've done the VL is to make the repairs less time consuming and to get rid of the mud traps. The arches will be mounted at the original height as to look original and so all the plastics can be fitted, will be handy if the new owner ever wants to fit 31s though.

The more I dig into this Suzuki the more rust I find, but I'm making progress.
Got the other rear arch cut out and almost fully welded up, with a few of the usual rust repairs around the fuel filler.
Inner wing was pretty rusty so while doing the VL I cut n shut a "better" inner wing onto it.
Started trimming the bulkhead
Then got the other side started and trimmed the bulkhead. Gonna be a busy few evenings this week making more filler panels and welding it all up.
