Can I fit this K & N filter to my 2.0 GV and if so how much of the standard box do I remove?

Why? The standard filter will keep crud out better than that thing will.

Keep the standard airbox and filter, there is no point fitting a k&n, it won't improve performance and will just allow more crap into the engine.

They might allow more flow but it's at the cost of filtration. However it won't actually make a noticable difference to the performance of the engine therefore is it worth the money?

Tbh it might even reduce the performance as the standard airbox set up pulls air in from outside of the engine bay, a k&n would be drawing air in from the engine bay that will be at a higher temperature.

I've been using replacement performance filters .
(These fit into the original airbox set up)
For a few years. I had a k&n then moved
Onto a piper cross filter (£6 new old stock ).

I would definitely say that the throttle
response became sharper / more responsive
but it's more the noise that I preferred.
It does seem to reduce fuel economy

I personally wouldn't run a cone type filter in anything.
Maybe try a replacement filter. I only moved onto
The aftermarket filters as they outlast a paper filter
And I got mine very cheap. :doublethumbs:

I had one of these

in the old SJ, wad fitted in the original air box. Dont know if it changed the performance. Not much of a change in noise either as it was through the snorkel
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good
