Post by ScottieJ » Thu Oct 15, 2009 9:34 am

I'm just wiring my 1.6 8 valve engine into my 410 using the 410 loom and there are these 2 connections on the carb that i'm not to sure about? what do they do and how should they be wired up? its the green and the brown connectors in the pic

right think i've worked it out????? the green plug i think is for the fuel solenoid so should be wired up to the ignition and the brown connector is the idle up actuator so can be left dissconnected as they cause lots of problems anyway.

Am i correct?

yep it was, sometimes the connectors are the opposite though and the brown is fuel solenoid and the green is the idle up. the fuel solenoid one has wires running to the back right of the carb/inlet manifold.

I have completly removed the idle up system from my carb now.
