Infotainment pairing

Thanks for info. Much appreciated, but I am thinking it cannot be done.
Gets to the stage where it says 'search for 'my car' and put in number XXXX.
I cannot find where to search.
I think if I were pairing a phone, all would be fine.

Will be taking it in for service soon, so will ask there if there is a way.
