Yeah I'm still alive  . Just haven't really bothered with the SJ recently, but I'm going to get back on it now. New front tyres is first thing on the list.

Yeah working clocks are extremely hard to find. The screen was so faded on my first one, it was just a blank orange rectangle. Then armed with some dodgy internet info on how to fix the display, I tried to fix it with a heat gun. Needless to say it ended up in the bin.
Just pot luck I managed to get a perfect one off eBay.

Had a day off, so just tinkered...........

........ fitted a Clicky Starter Kit, which I realised after ordering. I probably won't get any benefit from
Thanks to Darrell, I found out that the 410 already has a direct 12v supply for starting fitted as standard!

.........fitted a new Seger Low tone horn in addition to the factory High, so have dual note now.

.........fitted a beefier, dizzy to firewall negative cable for better ground.

Fitted another starter and alternator this evening after my starter shat itself and well my old alternator was in its last legs.....I can now have wipers, heaters and my headlights on without the voltage dropping  and another bonus is my stereo doesn't cut out at high volumes anymore  :rockin:

Currently in between moving house and lodging in a farm house without decent tools, so just doing naff tinkering jobs :D

Needing a matching switch for front fog lights I found a 'Carry' one. Hairdryered off the decal, trimmed corners and reversed back on.

Then just drilled small indents for paint.
