Spare parts/ equipment/tool box

Hey guys so am putting a box in the back of my sj for when out n about planning on fixing it down so wont go know where , am planning on putting all the gear i need in it such as spare parts ,tools,offroad equipment , so my question is what sort of suff do yas carry with yas how far do yas go with spares n stuff and fuel cans , am also after a hi lift jack n waffle boards has anyone had any experience wif the ones off ebay bout £50 jacks , thanks

Depends on what you plan on doing I would have said. When I use to go out green laneing Id always carry...

Hi Lift has got us out of the poo a few times,
Bow saw (the fancy one for cutting thick branches etc)
Do you have a winch? I got a cheap nasty turfer thing off of ebay for about £30 and it was amazing. We got really stuck once, took forever to get out but wouldn't have done it without it.
a good towing strap or two. Can also double up as an anchor point for the winch/turfer. Wrap it around a tree etc. that way you don't damage the winch cable.

5l can of fuel is enough to normally limp to a fuel station.

I cant think of anything else we took. Id start there. No matter how much stuff you take you will always not have what you need.

cheers lads lol I USE to have a rangerover as my daily so always carry my AA card lol got my moneys worth lol , builtnotbought I have recently just got it sorted out few little problems so only bin out twice but planning on doing abit of everything nope no winch yet but on my list of things I have a few good straps n that so good there , also got few tools aswell yea deffo after a hi lift jack but not sure what them 1s on ebay r like ?? yea can amagen there always be sumit you would need thanks mate

As little as possible. But always check your Suzuki over at least a week before any big trip out laning or off-roading to give you time to fix any issues before you go. Better to fix it instead of have it fail during a trip.

A smal tool kit in an ammo box with everything I mignt need I.e.
6,7,8,10,12,13,14,17,19mm in spanners and sockets
Screwdrivers, large and small Philips and flat
Side cutters
Pliers
Ring opening pliers
Ring closing pliers
Telescopic wheel brace
Small pry bar
Mole grips
Electrical tape
A few jubilee clips
Zip ties

Then I just carry

A small jack, either a scissor or bottle.

Tow rope and shackles

Shovel

Water

I used to carry more recovery gear but I haven't been properly stuck on a Greenlane for years and i usually go out with friends so if it happens you never need more than a quick tow.

A mate with a blandly. They tend to carry a full tool kit, wonder why

Seek out a 'bright' breathable rain jacket, preferably roomy (one size up won't hurt) with a good hood.

When you going to have that flat? when its dark and hissing down!

Doubles as a groundsheet, covers gear in the back etc.

I snagged this Helly Hansen a couple of years back for £20 on eBay, best buy ever!

I suppose the other thing I didn't think of was that when I last went out playing, A) I was 17, with my best mate and NO means of recovery other than ourselves and B) it was always after work normally dark and far from home.

We aimed to carry within reason, everything we were likely to need. and only once did we have to call in a massive favour of someone to come tow us out of a lane. But that was because the girlie all out died. Still don't know what the problem was. But that was an engine ago now.

I've just got two royal mail boxes with the same sorta kit as Scottie, plus a box of bug out kit, you never know

Anybody carry a manual winch with them?
