Mikes sj413 KJA daily restore and restomod !

Afternoon boys ! Right so I bought a kja of my very good friend matt, we had a deal like we always do and I now own this kja, it's been on this forum before but matt bought it and has been on the road he's used to green lane and use at plays days, we met up last year and went green laning and I had my eyes on it then !

Here we are, its in much better nick than the other one I used to make my off-roader, which I'm pleased about. Basic plan buy parts I need, rip it to bits shot blast the cab bed and sides, quick going through of the running gear, back together. Plan is to have it done inside a year, dads busy building jeeps so getting workshop space will be tricky, I got it round the back of the workshop with the jeeps we get from America, I may end up doing one part at a time to save space inside the workshop il probably do the cab first.

It has two inch lift springs and rear discs vented lwb vitara front brakes which I quite like so that's all staying, rear locker will happen be it a lockrite or the China locker I have.

Will be metallic slate grey with black wheels.

I've got this jap sj413 to use bits from to which is pretty handy, so il nick bits of this, this week then scrap what's left.

This is the 413 currently got a few bits still to get off, dash isn't great in it but the kja has a samurai one in it, so il take it just in case I can get another one.

Is that Matt miles you got it off? I recognise that workshop and the Kja, it used to belong to another guy on here......so it's been an scuk member for a long time

Good to see it still in the family and that it's gone to a good home.

I had such a busy day that I didn't get a chance to go in my 2nd unit to look for parts for it but I'll try to get in there tomorrow

Still got those other bits you want so ill start putting everything together for you.

Yes it was. As I sold my winch to that guy unfortunately I believe he has passed away now

Yes that's matt miles, suzuki legend ! He's a top lad we get on well been having deals with each other for years. He's got some very cool suzukis ! And a dog that barks at me hahha

I got a few bits sorted, I got to make a bit of money before I start this as I've moved out so got to try and make some spare cash for blasting ect, don't want to have to start it have it in bits then not be able to afford to carry on.

I'm Offroading next weekend so maybe the one after that il take the cab off.

Got a mint front end collected and a spare wheel bracket !

Boroughed my pals rear kja bumperetts to copy some how lol

Also got a 1.6 conversion plate

I have a few extra 413 parts now as well that I needed

I've sorted seats and door cards now too ! Not kja ones but very good condition sj410 ones

Next up I need to find a dashboard, 413 wheel arch trims for the front and a 1.6 16v !

Few weeks time il get cracking

Need a dash board !! I think il have to buy a complete vitara and do the conversion that way I thinks best.
