Throttle issue

Post by donkeychomp » Sun Apr 08, 2018 10:27 pm

Ever since I've owned the LJ the throttle has been way to light, makes it hard to maintain a constant speed over rough ground. I've had the big coil spring off the actual pedal but it can't be wound up any tighter. Would a stiffer spring on the carb work or would that damage it?

I don't know about damaging the carb, but I think this is the reason so many people add a hand throttle, mate. Shouldn't be the hardest thing to do, should it?

Yes but it's when I use it on the road as well. The potholes here are insane after that weather. Softer shocks would help but that costs a damn sight more than a small spring. Going to try some and see.
