Body Swap From A Soft Top - Tin Top

Post by Oscar » Thu Mar 07, 2019 9:20 am

Morning All,

After a bad few days ie the mot tester ripping my soft top apart, im tempted not to do the welding required and do a body swap.
Ive seen a few people do it online but was wondering how it works with the DVLA, anyone got any experience with this ?

its a 50/50 at the minute.

Thanks

Anton

You may get away with swapping and telling them - especially if it's a "factory" part (i.e. unmolested and original spec body). They may just update details on the V5 and send you the new one. Or they might decide they want to inspect it first.
