The only reason people lift is so that they can get bigger wheels and tyres on and thus more diff clearance. Other than that you really want to be as low as possible.
As I understand it anyway.

There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: my sj wanders all over the road very bad
right guys now the sj has sorted its steering problem out i have another question, i have longer pro comp shocks on the sj aswell and the rear is very hard, do i need to lift it up a bit more even though the springs are all ready over the axle? i was thinking of putting rear spring onto the front of it what do you guys think? cheers matt

Re: my sj wanders all over the road very bad
Rears up front is a good swap that quite a few people do...
IIRC, most of the time people put bedford rascal springs on the back to make the same lift front and back
...and as for the pro-comps, they are normally rock solid...
I took my rear pro comps off and went for astra ones, SO much softer...
The front ones are OK, but I think that's cos of the weight of the engine

Re: my sj wanders all over the road very bad
ok yea te rears are really hard just going over the speed bumps in our yard is a horrible ride, would i get away with rear springs on the front and lift shackles on the rear to even it out?
Re: my sj wanders all over the road very bad
Are they standard springs on the rear? if so they shouldn't be that hard. can you post some pictures up of the set up please? also what pro comps are they 1000s, 3000s or 9000s? sounds to me like you've got 9000s on in which case they will be far too hard. take the shocks off and see if it is softer, obviously dont drive on road without any shocks though.
IMO you dont want to be lifting it any higher in any way on the front or back; it will not help the ride quality.
RUF will improve the front flex and ride buy lift shackles on the rear will not make any difference to the rear being so hard.
