Time to convert to half high steer i think

How do I do That Mate ?

You get a mercedes steering arm, file the bolt hole a little, bolt it up to your caliper carrier with longer bolts, then use half a mercedes steering bar and half a suzuki steering bar (use a replaceable ball joint so then both can be replaced) weld it up and no more crap z bar, a lot less bump steer if any, easier to maintain.

These links show pictures and have the part numbers you need. The arms were fitted to loads of mercs and theres 2 types, a flattish one and a swan neck one, you want the swan neck as per the pictures. Its a fairly easy mod but 100% worth it

Won’t be much use on that Z bar though. Original replacements are a straight bar for SPUA.

It's only the drag link that is a Z bar, a new tie rod can be used with his Z bar.

Only one rod can be changed on the tie, unfortunately its the opposite end to the one you need. You will need to run the Z bar with spoa (or you can convert to a much better high steer set up)

The first link i gave you is just the long half of the tie rod so if you bought that you would need to swap your o/s tie rod onto it (or buy a new one to go with it) if you bought the one in the 2nd link you wouldn't be able to use the drag link as you'd have to run your Z bar but you'd have a normal drag link spare if you ever did swap back to spua like you have previously mentioned.

Also I just remembered you have samurai axles so you would need the longer samurai set up, not the 410 ones These are samurai width ones, there are cheaper ones on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUZUKI-SJ413 ... Swa0VZ6z8x

Thanks Mate, It gets more complicated with the way my truck is built, if I ever get another I will make sure its all Origional instead of a mixture like this one. gonna have a good look at the whole front setup tomorrow , will take more pics.

Samurai axles being wider is almost definitely a must for spoa. Standard sj's didnt struggle at rolling over let alone lifted ones.
All the mods yours has are for the better, well once your gearing is sorted it will be.

As for the Gearing, I have put smaller wheels and tyres on it and now it drives much better, still not perfect but it really is a lot better then the Big tyres.

Wont be perfect untill you get back to 4.1 diffs and 195 tyres, or the equivalent diffs for your tyres. But you should be able to see what me and Scottie were getting at with the diff ratios vs tyre size
