Ah yes I know the one, think i posted a link to Gonzalo's truck on the difflock thread, It is a very inspiring truck! he's now fitting toyota running gear with a 3.0 twin turbo lump The Eaton M45 has been used in quite a few cars, both the cooper s and mercs.

Well its on the road! Passed the Mot only needed some lock nuts on the shackle pins and some new wiper blades! Not a bad result!
Drove it for the first time and was pleasently surprised steering is perfect, nice and tight. Ride is good too not as stiff as i imagined. Took it out down the dual carriage way got it to 75mph (on Sat Nav) without any fuss, was still pulling well. Lots of gearbox and transmission noise dont think there is anything wrong? this usual for an SJ? if so may have to do a bit of sound proofing. Going to take it along Sarn Helen Next weekend if all goes well so will get some pictures up.

Nice work matey! yeah lots of transmission noise is the usual for a suzuki so i wouldn't worry if everything has fresh oil in it!
I have a lot of respect for you taking an SPOA'd sj up to 75mph Mines just stupidly loud at that speed

Slight update been drving around in the Sammy for a good few months and loving it! Been totally reliable and loads of fun, done a fair bit of green laning in it, Sarn Helen back in the summer and more recently strata florida. Also use it every day for work.
Decided to try some different seats though as was offered some anus Cherokee seats for next to nothing they are mega comfy and fit nicely. Done a few other small mods including a honda civic electric fan conversion, and Mark 2 Golf crystal headlights. Also planning on new suspension in the new year, Tempted by YJ springs and some nice shock absorbers. Engine plans are on hold for the moment as the 1.6 8v is doing well and turning out pretty decent Mpg's. heres a few pics of the new seats.

I don't s'pose you could post some pics of the LPG equipment under the bonnet?
That's something I'm very interested in (it's super cheap to do with an SU carb) and I'd like to see how you've fitted your vaporiser etc

yeah no problem mate will get some pics of the LPG it is so simple to fit its unbelievable, a carbed engine would be even easier.
No immeditae plans to change the bumpers. Have toyed witht the idea of a winch and winch bumper but dont want to weigh her down to much . And to be honest the type of off roading ive been doing isnt that extreme so fingers crossed shouldnt need to winch it out of anything. Saying that i do like the bumper on yours looks the business. It's not as heavy as a Rhino ray winch bumper though
