Hello
I have to do some bodywork on my 1983 SJ410 (see pic), and that includes replacing some original halftone decals. Is there a good way to do this?
Any hints gratefully received!
Thanks
David

The decals are a nightmare to get off.
Hair dryer / heat gun, try and warm the glue up and peel off with a sharp scraper.

What Jordi says. But use a plastic scraper or you'll ruin the paint.

Agree with Jodi, but also recommend sticky stuff remover, great stuff for getting sticky residue off
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

Thanks for your replies - much appreciated.
I'm thinking I might be better off trying to match the missing two. They are a bit tricky as they are part transparent. Don't imagine originals are still available. Anyone with any experience of this?
Cheers

Re: Replacing Decals
I would think any of the many vinyl sticker/ car wrapping places could match the originals for you.
