I had been intrigued by the wiring to the positive battery connector. Removed the existing slip over covering to find a double wire arrangement. Appears no fusible link in place. Have fixed asuitable fuse in place as shown Will investigate all wiring in this area carefully now. The positive connector is a substitution by me to give better additional wiring capability.

Have decided to not go for the X-Eng handbrake arrangement but use the drum system.
To update 'new' readers had purchased a SJ413 transfer box with a handbrake fitted already. This had seen some use by the condition of the inside of the drum. Some dismantling took place to get to:- Also had purchased a drum and innards plus cable as potential 'spares'.
It's condition was much better just requiring a clean-up. I have purchased replacement springs, shoes etc to ensure good working conditions would be the order of the day.
In essence I will have 2 transfer box arrangements. One will be for sale in the future. Anyone interested please advise.

Been a busy morning, mobile mechanic arrived on time, and it stayed dry.
Basically radiator, viscous fan, water pump and alternator were removed. Replacement water pump fitted.
Inlet manifold and carb removed and area cleaned up.
Fuel pump was replaced. Fuel tank and guard were 'first' fixed. Wiring and hoses to be completed.
Exhaust system attached with no problems.
Radiator supports wire brushed and coat of Kurust applied. Have set of silicone hoses to replace existing.

Some work today.
Transfer box centre brake rebuilt. Fuel tank and guard installed. Tow bar framework installed except for tow ball and electrics.
New fuel feed hose installed.
Front anti-roll bar installed.

Have decided to replace all fuel and brake lines. All existing will be removed and measured up for replacement. Sadly it appears Automec at Buckingham do not manufacture a replacement set. Am thinking of taking the removed pipes to them to manufacture.

I am examining power steering in great detail now. Have collected some parts together. Fixing bracket to engine block is not correct.

Have added an ignition block into the system to feed off as required.

Sorry seems like I might have misled you on the Jimny G13 bracket. I have previously been told they fit but it looks like they added an extra mounting position on the Jimny G13 block, I always bin the 1.3 for a 1.6 so have never noticed that.
The vitara g16 brackets fit but the clearance to the chassis rail is tight. There are kits available from HM4x4 that come with an aftermarket mount and the crank pulley to match.
