Not sure if this has been covered before or not, but does anyone have a solution for the pathetic wipers on the SJ? lol
They are either slow or slower, normal cars have got a bit of pace on hi-speed...
I can't imagine they are much use when mud plugging

Mine weren't that slow? Not as fast as modern vehicles though.
Perhaps your motor is on its way out? Perhaps a vid of ie wiper speed would help?

Mine seem to be working pretty well... They did slow down a lot when they were broken though

Mine were always slow compared to standard cars, I would have liked an 'intermitant' like on japanese sj's but i had to make do with the 'flick'

Argh that's something that really annoys me about my samurai! I would love the intermittent wipers... why on earth would they put flick wipe on instead?

Mine has intermitant. And again, they seem slow when you want them on a bit quicker.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

try striping the shafts the wiper arms on, that go through the body and give them a good clean. the passenger side on mine was seized and disconnected and the drivers side slow when i got the sj but a good clean and some grease and they aint bad now
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

If you have a soft top, it's quite easy to fold the windscreen down and retrieve the gubbins from inside of it!
Not so sure about a hard top though
