Newbie from Mid Wales

Post by Team Pink » Sun Aug 21, 2011 6:00 pm

Thought I would join this forum and see what it is all about, I know a fair few of you from Difflock. I was thinking today I am not even sure that my truck can be called a Suzuki anymore.
Latest specs.
101" wb
Vauxhall 2.0l redtop
Carlton Gearbox
410 transfer box
Discovery axles (not yet fitted)
Hybrid body (Rickman Ranger x SJ fiberglass panels)
Currently has LR parabolics fitted, will be changing to coil overs on the front with the parabolics staying on the rear (for now)

I have not got any recent pics as it was pi**ing down today when I pulled it out the garage to trial fit the body. I surprised myself by picking up the main tub on my own and moving it to beside the frame. 2 of us lifted it over the cage easily.

Ferris

It has been in bits for over a year now, I lost interest in carrying on with it last winter, now I am getting back to working on it again. I still have a huge amount to do and there is no way I will rush it. With (hopefully) 180 hp under my right foot I do not want something to break!

I will get it together to post some pics thru the week

Tim

Nice. I've been a-pondering how well Vauxhall engines and gearboxes would fit. Don't suppose we could have a look-see at your engine and gearbox set-up.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.
