IM SAD :'(
Re: IM SAD :'(
seems ive joined this crew a little late, to be fair though all the good ones seem to have had all the rust dealt with, so its worth paying a little, although 1500 isnt alot.
Re: IM SAD :'(
They will only go up in value now though, there are still bargains to be had out there as well, you can pick them up for around £4-500 without an MOT and tax still but with relatively little rust.jfatboy wrote:seems ive joined this crew a little late, to be fair though all the good ones seem to have had all the rust dealt with, so its worth paying a little, although 1500 isnt alot.
Re: IM SAD :'(
this is the dilemma i have pick up a pricey one thats already had it done, or buy one that i can do myself?
from looking around it looks like alot of guys have tackled it themselves.

Re: IM SAD :'(
Rust is my main enemy as I'm not able to weld yet...
Mine was in reasonable condition when I got it, but very standard apart from the roof.
It's much more fun to mod it yourself, because then you can get it dead right for what you want it to do!

Then there's me who cut up and modified a pretty much rust free shell then again it was only rust free because someone had already restored it once before I owned it as it was once a van back body
At least when you do it yourself you know it's been done right!

i suppose you are right, of course i want a standard one to start with, doesnt seem to be any diffrence in price between modded ones and standard ish ones.
i also want to learn to weld so could be an opportunity to learn
want one that i also dont have to fully rebuild once i have it, rebuilt my crx and currently rebuilding the civic...kinda got bored of it.
