Rubber fuel lines were my first thought as well especially as I'm thinking of puting the petrol tank in the boot.

Been away for a week but got a lot of little odds and sods done on the body today and then made a start on getting the rest of it back together.

Its a good feeling seeing the chassis back rolling. Means that I can start bolting the scrap heap of a garden back to it!

Just got all week off work and probably part of next week.

Just got the body up on its side and further into the gazebo with a lad from work who kindly dropped my back home after my short trip to convince my boss :poke:

Gunna get out there now and finish the last few bits of welding that were underneath when we did the arches.

Then its time for paint... filler.. more paint...

Re: Dans Zook Build BIG UPDATE!

Post by dan_2k_uk » Sun Nov 13, 2011 5:21 pm

Here goes then. Big update. Have been working on it all daylight hours but Call of Duty has kept me away from here. Going back to work tomorrow so will be back on here on my new phone using forum runner. (Samsung Galaxy Note by the way so a lovely huge HD screen to read on!)

The new manifold turned up

Got the bulkhead work all ground back nice

The bottom primered up

and the new arches trimmed

Then painted

The inside stripped and primered

Then got to work on the outside

Then blended the arches into the body

Then got it all ready for paint

AND THEN FINALLY A TOP COAT GOES ON :pompom:

Sorry but I've just finished and it was dark so the photo isn't the best.

So glad the bodys done but still got to strip and paint the doors, boot, windscreen, and bonnet!

Nice, looking good, it's worth going right through these things, you never know what rust you will find, and it will be solid for years to come. Nice one
