In Wantage, Oxfordshire

Rather tidy looking. Looked like it had had a bit of work to the arches.

Oui that's mine
Yes the front offside arch has been welded up and no I didn't try to make it look good, just cut out the rot and welded in some new steel. The rust had gone too far at the rear of the arch for a virtual lift to hide it. I was just going to weld that area but once I started poking around the whole lip/fold behind the plastic trim just kind of fell off. As I normally use it as my daily ride/workhorse it needed sorting straight away. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it
Not going to poke the other arches until next year because they look like they may do the same

It looks like a nice example, what sized tyres are you running? I like that you still have the original seats, they are usually the first thing to go! Well done for keeping it standard! What is the metal under the nack bumper for? Just protection?

Must get some stickers (have to get Scott to bring some to Aldermaston next month)
Seen quite a bit of southern electrickory recently after our incoming supply shorted phase to phase , because we draw to much current.
Been fitting a ammeter to the incoming supply today to avoid problems like this again  . Having said that we could do with bigger cables and larger fuses on the transformer but have been informed we would need a bigger transformer at £60,000plus.
Glad it got it's first and only (this year) polish last weekend. Polished the rust stains off :D

215 something or other :er: (I forget). Put 2 inch lift springs on it over 10 years ago when I first got it. I have a heavy duty seat cover on the drivers side which I haven't removed for years so dread to think what state it's in underneath.
Yes that rusty bar on the back protrudes past the original tin foil bumper. It's 50x25x3mm box section welded onto 10mm plates that bolt onto the ends of the chassis rails. Proved itself a couple of times, but not offroading. One customer reversed into my SJ and pushed it forward against the wall and still wondered why he couldn't reverse (dickhead). The other was a bus that hit me while I was waiting at traffic lights. It pushed me forward and flexed a bit as the paint was cracked but that was all. The bus was in the next lane (facing the same way but turning left) and drove over the curbs being to dam impatient and the ass end swung round and hit me (single decker, long overhang past the rear axle). I'm surprised I never got arrested after chasing him to the bus depot and as soon as the doors opened I ran on calling him everything under the sun (poor customers were trying to get off). At that time I had not seen what little damage it had done, but assumed it was bad after the noise it made. Turned out the plastic bumper on the bus was much worse off  , so desided to bugger off after not finding anyone there to report him too.

That was a good rant for me :doublethumbs:

What exactly happens at your work anyway. There was a nice metal on metal sound coming from the top of the building. Would hate to live close by if thats going on at night!

That's a flour mill. That noise is wheat being discharged from an elevator into the outlet pipe going to storage bins. This should only be done during the daytime but we did get a complaint the other day which is the first for over ten years that I know of. I've been asked to quieten it down but don't know how I'm going to do that. Modern ones have a bigger clearance inside the top section and have a rubber liner but I can't do that??----------------->well maybe I can, going to have to think about that one.
