Re: Project KJA
hi,
little update. lot of head scratching and staring, trying to figure out where everything is going to go.
A bit if rearranging is going ti have to happen, move the tank to the back and have the ram up front to get the right angle.
not sure weather to use original tank or get one made. dunno yet.
i wired the pump up to a battery and extended the ram, works perfect, perfect length, it was dark so ill get pics when its a bit more together. think the only problem im going to have is getting the it back down. it took my dad standing on it to get it down. lol.

I reckon the weight of the rear bed will supprise you and should push the ram back down.
Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the day theres a video of it tipping!

Re: Project KJA
no, 3rd. shes ok, still having hospital trips here and there, shes anemic due to the antibody things. needs blood transfusions, but shes ok.
Right, done a bit, havent had much time on the kja lately due to everything going on.
its alive, well part of it. ive got every thing lined up and in place, tried it out without the pump and it works a treat. i didnt want to make a mess disconnecting the hose so ill get a vid when ive got it plumbed up, but it works. yay
also bought these to see if it will take the slack out of the gearbox lever and transfer box lever.
ive only got a bit to do on the chassis now, 2 body mount holes, and a bit of strengthening for the front winch, coat of paint and it will be a rolling chassis,
and then my car decided it wont let me start it yesterday, immobilizer fault = scrap,
gutted,
never mind kja is coming along

I got them from mountaingoatperformance.co.uk
Loads of cool stuff but really expensive.. They where £30. Just hope they make the difference. The transfer box isn't bad but the gearbox bolt and bush is worn to hell.
Um off hand I can't remember, I'll have a look tomorrow. But I think it might be the rear ones
Cheers

Re: Project KJA
both drivers side mounts are rotten, rear more than front.
made a bit more progress today with the couple of hrs i had.
i didnt like the idea of a winch bumper being held on by those bolts on the front of the chassis, thought it could rip out. so i wanted to beef it up a bit.
i made my alterations to the front of the chassis and patched a couple of holes that where hiding under the paint, even found the chassis number hiding away.
so thats done and ready for when i make the bumper, so the winch shouldn't go any where lol
