Trustworthy SJ Mechanic ?

Post by alanl » Sun Mar 01, 2009 12:07 pm

A while ago I mentioned that I planned to go on a tour around France in my '85 SJ413 and was looking for a trustworthy mechanic to give it the once-over. I have been purchasing the bits I want replacing (Cambelt, Discs, Front pads etc.) but unfortunately a combination of a medical condition (and if I'm honest, lack of expertise for the more complex jobs) have left me looking for a trustworthy mechanic in the NW London area (I'm in Harrow). A mechanic at SJ-UK.co.uk was mentioned in my previous posting, but I have been unable to locate him. Anyone out there have any contacts ? Thanks
Alan

Sorry for the delay in responding, we have had a few problems with our PC at home - kids = downloading = virus. Anyway, thanks for your offer, it is really appreciated, however I have managed to find a mechanic through a friend locally. He seems to know his stuff but if we hit any problems I will be sure to post them here. Thanks again.
