Re: Hey Guys.. not a Suzuki owner.. but hopefully will soon
The turret inside the car has been modified so my mate seems to think its a different box. I'm not too sure, i will take some photos later of the engine and underside and post them here Thanks for your help.

Yeah is a bit ugly, not sure what else I can do with it though? Going to tidy up the welding on it and round it off a bit sometime.Tramp wrote:Its a nice looking truck, its just a shame about that bonnet scoop!

Washed it off this morning.
Gave the engine bay a bit of a clean as had a very bad oil leak, also replaced the rocker cover gasket today aswell.
Fixed the running issue.. the choke had too much play in the cable/pin and it was constantly fully open thats why it was running shit. So had to add a nut on the end of the pin to hold it closed.. Bit of a bodge but will be ok till i get a new carb.
Shouldn't the prop be running straight?
My mates mint SJ and mine.

Well you know your mate said that he thinks it uas a different gearbox, it does
In fact that is a complete vitara transmission, transferbox n all! Hence why the rear prop is at such and angle.
The bad thing with that set up is that it won't be as easy to lower the gearing if you want to fit large tyres, however it does mean that you could easily run yotas hi lux axles with the centred rear diff.

So is there a way to lower the gearing? And the tyres are pretty big. It doesn't have much grunt low down and you really have to wind it up to get going on the road.

You can swap the gears in the diffs for some from a vitara front diff if that hasnt been done already.
Will try find a link and stick it here.
