Thanks for your help, would that help the gearing then?

My friend is saying I should scrap it all and use 1.3 gearbox and 1.0 transfer box?

That would get your gearing to what a standard vit is.

413 gearbox and 410 t-box would be easier to fiddle ratios but the vit setup you have is probably stronger as the gearbox is meant for the 1.6

You would need to find the flywheel from a 1.3 aswell if you wanted to fit that gearbox.

That's the cheapest option, or you could go twin tboxes :guns: but that will cost a lot more!

there's also the option of fitting a Vit rear axle so that the diff is centred to match the tcase output and then fitting the vit front diff (weaker) or the vit front ring and pinions into the sammy diff (stronger) to match the rear ratio; this will drop the gearing back down.

Driving along behind my mate in his SJ earlier after exiting a green lane.. i wasn't even that close to him pretty far behind to be honest and heard a loud crack, stone either came off his tyre or mine and has but a large crack in my windscreen.

Wheres best place to get one? More expense i can't afford this month really, just got one of my cars through MOT and then have to tax 2.
